Shehzada – Bollywood’s Prince is Born!!!

Kartik Aryan does it again and how!!! See it to believe it – he in indeed now a Legacy in the making. The swag he brings in with his character Bantu makes him a true Shehzada. Magic of writing works. Yes, it is a remake but a well-made one. Rohit Dhawan doesn’t leave an opportunity for any dull moment. Optimizes it all, from vision to execution, Shehzada succeeds to bring the house down.

Shehzada is an official remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Had seen the original and have loved it as the story of the film had its heart in its right place. Thankfully the story is adapted well by the makers and Shehzada too has its heart aka Kartik Aryan in its right place. The swag, the charm, the performance he brings it all. Kriti Sanon plays the love interest, her charm is no less, and she looks ravishing. They succeed to ring in the chemistry the duo shared in their earlier film too. Paresh Rawal plays the key role, and he never disappoints. He as Valmiki with his sheer performance makes the story believable. Shehzada’s casting is brilliant. It was good to Manisha Koirala back on the big screen, she has a certain poise, a certain grace the character demands and fits in her role perfectly. She is perfectly paired against Ronit Roy who himself has a great charm and a personality that commands respect, has the right role of leading the legacy of Jindal’s the royal family they play in the film. Rajpal Yadav has one scene, and he brings the house down along with Kartik Aryan with his brilliant coming timing, making you go ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing). He acts and his sheer act will make you laugh out loud. The film’s antagonist Sunny Hinduja too wins the heart with little menace and loads of attitude. Yet another perfect casting. The actor so versatile, last seen in Thai Massage and now in Shehzada, in his limited role leaves his presence felt. Ankur Rathee’s presence is a comic relief, that comes naturally to his character Raj, he may come across as underrated but plays it right bringing in the layer of comedy naturally than going over the top. Hussain Dalal’s one liner’s are best and the one specially comes at the end is winner.

Those who said the superstar era is over with the Khans must witness the Aryans. He is a legacy in the making. Having his nose at the right place, smelling through the scripts, with Shehzada he becomes the producer too, Navigating his journey well. We can only cheer for him as he continues to keep his feet grounded reaching heights while entertaining us.

Shehzada has it all from music to action to Swag and above all a clean family film. It is after a while that there is a complete wholesome entertainer that has the right balance and doesn’t go over the top. Stays true to its story and delivers.

Shehzada – Indeed a Bollywood’s Prince is born.
