Dange –  Dotingly Good!!!

Coming from the Director Bejoy Nambiar you are sure you are signing up for a film with style and substance. And this one has a great story too, After, a long time we have a film set in college campus. Dange dives into the complexities one deals in college, love, friendship, identity, and power. Harshvardhan Rane’s commitment to his role is commendable and inspiring. His screen presence speaks ethos. Ehan Bhat too comes as an equal force making this rivalrous camaraderie work. He is impressive in his role. From best friends to the rivals with a disturbing past their rivalrous camaraderie reflects the deep bond. Dange strives to find a path to settle the core and it does it brilliantly. T J Bhanu and Nikita Dutta too bring a lot, their roles are deep and performances at par and at ease. Each facet of the story is unlayered through couple of chapters unfolding the story, taking you deep into the characters. It takes a little long for one to dive into the world Dange is, but once you are in, it sets you up for an engaging experience.

Harshvardhan Rane plays Xavier alias Z and Ehan Bhat plays Yuva, they come across each other decades after their deep past in the same college. Dange is all about friendship and the lost love for the same friendship, Harshvardhan Rane and Ehan Bhatt both bring good amount of weight in their characters shoving off some on each other through the process.

The film has more than just these two facing off each other. There is a lot happening in Dange, College Politics: Siddhi essayed brilliantly by Zoa Morani and TJ Bhanu’s representative Ambika are competing for a General Secretary Position for the college elections. The two share a relationship that is gone sour, the complexity shines and the actor-director succeed to bring the right tension. Student Rivalry: Seniors Vs Juniors, this must be deep as the film itself revolves around the college campus, there are supporting characters playing catalyst to the crux of the conflict. Love: TJ Bhanu and Harshvardhan Rane bring a believable chemistry and yearning for each other hidden deep, Ehan Bhatts chemistry with Nikita Dutta will keep you in curios to what Yuva is up to; keeping you engaged.

The film navigates it all through at ease with its style and substance. This college campus drama shines from almost all the facets, from its performances to its style, from its raw action to its pulsating background score, making Dange dotingly good.
