#Yodha – Masaaledar Warrior!!!

Sidharth Malhotra shines yet again in the Uniform that makes India Proud. He plays Arun Katyal with valor and a charming swag with a dash of Dialoguebaazi making Yodha a good Masaledaar Entertainer. Debutant Directors Duo Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha execute the story brilliantly keeping you at the edge of your seats almost throughout , the Hijack drama demands to keep your seats fasten taking your breath away with their landing action sequence that brings a thunderous cheer in the auditorium along with a few lines that steal the show. Watchable!!!

The Makers do plan to let Arun Katyal shine and he does, Siddharth Malhotra plays something which he has played before, just that in this one he adds up more of SRK charm that never fails, besides he has his own charisma that he keeps you hooked up to. The plot line is such that makers succeed to keep you curios to his line of action or his intention of doing what he is doing, keeping the pendulum movement ON for quite a while for you to swing in grey areas. The script is tight post the initial song and up until that landing. But it never comes as a drawback and Yodha for its major chunk of the screentime keeps you engaged.

The film is purely made for entertainment purpose and has no inspiration from true events, it takes a lot of cinematic liberty to weave the peace talks with the neighboring country and up in the air, bashes the same country. All is well conceived in a tight script, letting you hoot and cheer for the Hero as Siddharth Malhotra says it all loud “Iss picture ka Hero main hun” brining the masala Bollywood back on screen. The action is done brilliantly and some of the scenes are indeed jaw-dropping and fun to watch at times.  Raashi Khanna is passable and so is Disha Patani. Sunny Hinduja is impressive with a little to do role, yet his presence does bring a good weight, he should be seen more on big screen, Tanuj Virwani as supporting cast has good screen presence. The co-pilot little act is good, but no villain has a good weight here to carry, they all have minimal screen presence, it is the plot that adds up a good adrenaline rush to the intent where the flight is going or where the film is going. The logic gets a blanket cover, yet you enjoy the film for its engagement factor.

Yodha seems a good solo vehicle for Siddharth to ride high and he succeeds to fly. However, the film could have been much better with a strong antagonist than just a Masaaledar Warrior.
