Kangana Ranaut: The Queen is here to rule the Bollywood Kingdom. She definitely deserves a Bow for her undying spirit towards her passion in Building Cinema. For many it is a weekend business; there are few who live up to their dream with this passion giving audience the High on a Republic Day; giving India a film on Republic Day to cherish.

From riding the front seat as an actor to ruling the back seat as director; she knows her craft best. Manikarnika is the celebration of Indian Cinema; celebration of Indian Independence.

Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi is your entry to the Historic Cinema that is set in the 18thCentury quite far from the Freedom Date but close to the High Quest for freedom. Manikarnika is that Quest that carries the legacy of free India with her sheer vision and valor.

Kangana Ranaut brings the spirit of Manikarnika Live on screen echoing the resonance taking you back to the History making each Indian Pride. The power of Cinema works, and she ensures it works be it in the scale of production, the cinematography, VFX, the support cast, dialogues, lyrics and music. “Main Rahoon ya na Rahoon – Bhaarat ye rehna chahiye” echoes the soul of the film and speaks volume of the emotion then, emotion now and emotion in the future for the love for our country. Prasoon Joshi nails down the historic lyrics, Shankar Ehsaan Loy stir something that is eternal. Manikarnika Music is going to be the flavor of each years Republic Day or Independence Day it makes that mark.

Kangana Ranaut delivers one of her best performances in recent times and proves her mettle. The film helms two directors but the film comes as ‘one’ without giving major hiccups on the celluloid. The graph of the Character grows on you and she does bring the house down in the second half acing the sword fighting saving her child demanding claps, whistles and hoot. She stands out; the set giving it a picture perfect brings a wow.

The film has an ensemble cast, Jisshu Sengupta plays Manikarnika’s husband brings in a mystery with his character. Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkari Bai is confident in her act. Danny has a role similar to Katappa in Baahubali. Suresh Oberoi, Atul Kulkarni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Mohd. Zeeshan do add a lot to the story that revolves around Kangana.

Even the Britishers act by Richard Keep and Edward Sonnenblick bring in the right challenge for her act to stand out.

And the film is narrated by none other than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan bringing in a deep connect with Manikarnika.

The film may be low on budget compared to Baahubali or Padmavat; but it has a strong vision of giving audience a great cinematic experience. Manikarnika delivers. A director is born.
