Freud Recent web-series on Netflix is as intriguing as the study of hypnosis could be.

Unfortunately it dilutes the image of Freud limited to solving the mysterious murders than showcasing more on his theories or his line of work; it doesn’t really explore the Man he was and his studies to a greater extent. NOT A BIOPIC. Yet it is one of good watch if alternate entertainment works for you.

Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, a clinical method for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst.

Those who know Sigmund Freud and have a certain background; this web-series comes as a great source of entertainment, alas only entertainment but a good one.

The way the makers have made, they hypnotize you into their world, in the city of Vienna in the 19^th Century and it is fascinating to see the European era along with the mind-blowing performances captivating you into their world episode by episode.

The series is made by Marvin Kren known for his ghost stories and on top of that it is majorly filmed in Vienna where Sigmund Freud spent most of his life giving it a needed touch keeping you mesmerized making your belief high in this non-fiction fiction. Making you part of the gothic story.

Freud is a 8 hours binge watch. Interestingly, the episodes of the 8-part series are named after Freudian concepts and are titled Hysteria, Trauma, Somnambulant, Totem and Taboo, Desire, Regression, Catharsis and Suppression. These concepts are only integrated at the surface level to meet the narrative than to you a wiser insight.

Yet if you are a fan of Dark and Noir tales. This one is for you.
