FLESH  –  Dark Entertainer!!!

Yet another crime series that rides high on sex, violence and crime. It is the Blood rush in the Flesh that makes it palpable and top-notch performances of Swara Bhaskar and Akshay Oberoi that makes it watchable.

The series that follows the template and doesn’t lose an inch of how to keep the audience binged, succeeds to keep the interest high with the way the story unfolds. The core of the story is based on Human Trafficking, a plot that reminds you YRFs Film Series of Rani Mukerjee’s Mardaani. Good thing is Flesh has its own good blood rush and like Mardaani it has a strong antagonist played by Akshay Oberoi. He is in the skin of the character and plays his character with a certain menace needed for the character top-lining rest of the cast. Be it his costumes, his style or his persona, he stands out strong with his psychotic and sinister antics. He has a meaty role to display his versatility and he displays it well. Swara Bhaskar as always reel or real comes as confident and convincing playing the lead,  the top cop with a certain haunting journey behind, giving her mission a reason to reckon with. If you can captivate this, you can pump up your adrenaline rush to validate your anticipation. Nevertheless, even if you don’t, the plot keeps the interest high without curiosity killing the cat.

Apart from Swara and Akshay, Flesh also stars Vidya Malvade, Kavin Dave, Yudhishtir and Mahima Makwana among others. Siddharth Anand’s and Sagar Pandya’s story succeeds to connects the dots and gives you that satisfaction worth of the hours you may give this show. They succeed to pan out each episode strongly keeping you glued on how the story unfolds. Danish Aslam’s direction is good and some of the scenes are well-shot; generating the right curiosity.

Flesh at 8 episodes at quarter less than an hour length is a decent thriller that succeeds to keep you binged.
