A story of Badi Bahu who is Chhoti with a traditional choti, makers with akkal moti.
In the year 2020 where technology has variety of options to send you a shiver down your spine considering the genre Bulbbul belongs. It only breaks you spine even at a shorter length with pure boredom.
Bulbbul set in late 18th century, the makers literally give you an experience that is age old with no class whatsoever. Drawing inspirations from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas and turning it into a caricaturist horror. Ramsay’s 90’s film Veerana even if you watch now today can send you some shivers down the spine with great cast and shivering nights minus the VFX. Nights in Bulbbul seems to be a color work set in red insta mode, that’s the short cut to make a few quick bucks on Netflix.
Bulbbul is a bad display of every technical aspect too forget about the cast. Poor story, poor execution but will certainly have rave reviews to raise the viewing numbers.
Anushka Sharma seems to be taking the baby steps marching backwards with Phillauri, Pari and now Bulbbul she keeps trying to spook us but alas, she has to try harder.
