#SaandkiAankh – Brings Gold. PK Verdict: Gold****
Tushar Hiranandani debuts with a stellar story with a narrative that is engaging, immersive and highly entertaining. Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are in the skin of the character minus the flesh but doesn’t let the narrative disturb with their prosthetics. The soul of the film is in the honesty of the storytelling and it’s writing. Content Roars and so does Taapsee and Bhumi. They both together give us a great film.
Shooter Dadi’s continues to win our hearts. Taapsee and Bhumi play Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar respectively and how they play is only to be witnessed on the big screen. They both together are the spine of the film and bring the right fire within; giving wings to your dreams making Impossible – Possible, making you live a true story of valor and determination leaving you feel Proud.
The magic of cinema works; Jagdeep Sidhu’s dialogues are intriguing and thought provoking. Bhumi when speaks about the age a woman lives for herself immerses you in the pool of thoughts. Balwinder Singh’s screenplay is crisp and the film at a good length doesn’t seem to be dragged. The music echoes the feel of the film and “udta teetar” is only to be enjoyed on the big screen with the magnum uplift that moves from the characters to the audience. Vishal Mishra’s music and Advait Namlekar’s background score layer the soul of the film right.
Vineet Kumar Singh in a little role has a good impact and comes as a catalyst to the magnum success of #ShooterDadis with a vision of empowering people of the country, helping them unleash their potential. Prakash Jha from director to an actor leaves us awestruck with his sheer presence and comes as a great villain living in the skin of the character. One character for whom you feel poor is Sachin. Poor kiddo; you got to see it to believe it why is he called poor here.
Saand ki Aankh is a story of Hope, motivation, achievement, self-confidence, upliftment, Patriotism in spite of the internal hurdles and homely demons how one shines out with the sheer determination.
Tushar Hiranandani, the director, seems to enjoy what he does and that’s exactly where he Hits the Bull’s eye making the audience enjoy His film.
For now, enjoy #SaandkiAankh and hit the bull’s eye this Diwali at the cinemas near you.
