PK Verdict

Dedh Ishqiya is a brilliant sequel which thrills you with a smile on your face. A good dark comedy in some of its characters. Out of the best; rest who gets noticed yet again is Vijay Raaz aka Jaan Mohammad in the movie.

As a known fact, Khalu & Babban continue to be thieves in this one too. A movie starts with a necklace robbery creating a way for something big to come on screen. Somehow these two are separated by a robbery sequence and soon after Babban Finds Khalu on TV claiming to be one of the Nawabs – Nawab of Chandpur. This is where the Ishqiya is set to begin.

Begum Para – The Begum of Indian Cinema is looking for a Nawab who can win her-over poetry. A poetic competition begins with lot of wit and screen sizzles with Madhuri as Begum – Diva on celluloid. Vijay Raaz is a strong contender along with Naseerudin Shah to win over the Begum. One competes from the heart and another on someone else’s shoulder. The goal remains the same of winning the Begum. The roller coaster throughout along with the poetry; the language; the execution of the plot is something to be seen to believe the PK verdict. Like Arshad Warsi is good second lead to Naseerudin Shah so is Huma Quereshi to Madhuri Dixit enticing you in the right amount. The well engaging plot which doesn’t let you anticipate much right and keeps you intrigued with a good proportion of wit.

The competition to win over the begum goes on and the output is something which again takes the story ahead and you see your judgment going wrong somewhere. This continues till the end and the funny climax scene is something to look forward to. It’s different – when you hear music as a background score with lyrics in action sequences but that’s where the director stands out in this class apart cinema.

The captain of the ship Dedh Ishqiya is the Director who has executed this art brilliantly with the perfect cast on this ship. Vijay Raaz as mentioned is commendable with all the other actors. Begum Madhuri sizzles the screen with Jagave Saare Naina a classic. The language of the movie is something which wins over everything. A must watch for Ishqiya fans, Madhuri Dixit fans and of course Vishal Bahradwaj genre fans.

Go for it.
