#Badla – Checkmate!!! PK Verdict: Gold****

Sujoy Ghosh brilliantly adapts the Spanish Film “The Invisible Guest” and gives Bollywood audience the taste of an edge of the seat thriller in the comfort atmosphere letting people enjoy the narrative and with great cinematography, sound and of course actors who perform at par and keeps your interest high throughout.

There are no words to describe when it comes to appreciate Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He is the soul that gives life to this body of Badla. His body of work is the Milestone by far no one would be able to reach; such a performer and Badla is Bachchan delight.

Taapsee Pannu is great too. Lucky enough to have the second filmy ride with Mr. Bachchan that too an interesting one with success guaranteed. Her body language will make you go snooping leaving you indecisive in this who done it discussion. The narratives at both the ends keeps you highly engaged throughout and versions are strong enough to captivate your thoughts and feel the undercurrents strong is what makes Badla work.

Another power house of talent in Badla is Amrita Singh; suave with a wow. Her screen presence is rock solid and she lightens up the screen with her sheer presence. What a cast Badla has. It also introduces Tony Luke who has a great screen presence too. Manav Kaul has little to do but as always is in the skin of his character and you only want to see him more.

The Director Sujoy Ghosh works on the screenplay in a way that he doesn’t leave you wonder out of the film even for a minute. The film has no songs to break the narrative and it is crisp at 120 minutes. Picture Perfect.
