Piku – Here comes the first Platinum movie of the year.
Piku a Five Star Film.

Hats off to Big B who is just getting bigger and bigger
with his performances stealing your heart with every character he gets in.
Deepika sparkles in her subtle performance and casting Irfan as Rana is like cherry
on the cake.

What makes Piku come alive on screen is the story writer
Juhi Chaturvedi with her simple story conveys brilliant message without being
preachy coming well on screen. Director Shoojit Sircar succeeds in putting a
soul in his craft yet again third time in the row with a topic of action common
across the globe – The shit.  Kudos!!!

Piku is a journey with no destination that keeps you
happy throughout the route making you enjoy the journey with its quirky
realistic characters. Deepika Padukone plays piku daughter to Mr Bachchan who
is running through the only problem Constipation his soul lies in his stomach. The
Bhaskor family living in Delhi, Piku is an architect by profession and is being
picked up regularly by a cab service being run by Irfan Khan, cupid in the
development in the flow. Mr Bachchan the quirky father who doesn’t listen to
anybody but himself is being nursed nicely by his daughter Piku along with the
family maid. Mr Bachchan true to its status lives life king-size and overdoses
himself with few drinks to collapse before you sulk into this sadness; he pulls
you off again with his act of fear to travel by air or in train. Chooses to
travel by road making it a road trip. Irfan Khan accidentally becomes the
driver of this trip which has its own bumpers with snippets of life you can
relate.

The road trip has its own challenges where at times one
has to give upon their silly egos to move ahead in life or in this road trip.
Further down again they clash with Irfan breaking down, making Bachchan realize
Piku has a life; Bachchan’s philosophy of only women of low IQ marries and piku
has a high IQ and hence shouldn’t marry. Deepika with no regret proud to be a
daughter of the ailing father; conveying Parents are not burdens in anyone’s
life – they are the blessing. No matter how irritating they could be, how
stubborn they could be, they may not make sense at all, they may have a
different opinion, yet the Acceptance has to be high all this come to you with
the flawless flow without making you preach but it hits the right chord making
you think, taking a step closer to your parents with a smile on your face. A
story of every house.

Road trip ends at Kolkata. They enter in their ancestral
home close to their heart which piku probably plans to sell out but this is
where the roots lie comes from Irfan khan diverting her mind. Irfan khan’s
timely remedies help Bachchan pass his motion and majority of the conversations
are subjected to Bachchan’s constipation.

Piku is a cinematic experience of life, giving you some
food over thought, with lines stating -Death and Shit are unpredictable – can happen
to anybody anywhere anytime. Bachchan stating venting out frustration helps
constipation as keeping words in stomach may lead to constipation not letting
you flow your emotions. Hence Piku The Film has a tag line “motion se hi
emotion” blended wonderfully.  It is a
must for everyone. Go for it.

Technical aspects of the film goes well with the theme,
be it the background score or integrated songs, it just flows smoothly with
just one break of thought – The Interval. Else Piku is a break-less journey which
takes you within you.
