Toaster –Hilariously Delicious!!!

Kampa Film’s Toaster delivers a deliciously chaotic blend of dark comedy and thriller, striking the right balance between absurdity and comedy. Backed by a stellar ensemble and sharp writing, the film keeps you hooked, entertained, and constantly surprised with sheer performances.

Produced by Rajkumar Rao and Patralekha, directed by Vivek Daschaudhary, and written by Akshat Ghildial (Badhaai Ho and Badhaai Do fame), the film thrives on its quirky premise and tight storytelling.

At the heart of the madness is Rajkumar Rao as Ramakant—from Srikant to Ramakant, there’s one actor who completely inhabits every role he takes on — Rajkummar Rao. As Ramakant, he embodies stinginess to the extreme, bringing the character vividly to life through both his performance and the film’s writing. The humor and the narrative organically grow out of his frugality and the situations it leads him into, making the film engaging right from the start. His chemistry with Sanya Malhotra feels natural and convincing, driven by their strong screen presence. Her character is hooked on the “Hindustan Hoshiyaar” series — a playful nod to Savdhaan India — constantly immersed in televised thriller stories, yet unaware that she herself is slowly getting caught in one unfolding around her.

The story kicks off with Ramakant reluctantly buying an expensive toaster as a wedding gift—only for the marriage to collapse the very next day. What follows is his absurdly determined mission to retrieve the gift and secure a refund, no matter how inappropriate or chaotic the situation gets.

This seemingly simple premise snowballs into a wild ride involving blackmail, a tough cop, missing SD cards, theft, death, and a chain of hilariously unfortunate events. Ramakant’s journey becomes a comedy of errors where his extreme stinginess pushes him into increasingly bizarre and dangerous situations.

Despite its madness, Toaster knows exactly what it wants to be—a dark comedy that embraces its eccentricity and delivers consistent laughs with a thrilling edge.

If you enjoy offbeat humor with a dose of chaos and clever storytelling, Toaster is a must-watch entertainer, its hilariously delicious.
